Yesterday was a busy day throughout.It was my mom's birthday.Last year I had saved some money to buy her gifts and a wonderful cake but this year because of my MBA admissions and travelling related to that I was bankrupt.Dad gave me some money to refill the car which I didn't use so I bought a pineapple cake which is mom's favorite for her.But I gave gifts a miss.My sister did the spoiler by forgetting mom's birthday.I messaged her and reminded her but still she didn't call.I know she had been busy with her household responsibilities but that made mom upset.In the evening too we couldn't go out for dinner because my doggy had a tummy upset which was kind of serious so I and Dad took her to the hospital.Well but everything fell in to place when Dad surprised mom with gifts once we returned.:)

Other than mom's birthday what kept me busy yesterday was a GD/PI in a management college.It was good.Hope I get through.Today there was a heavy downpour and I was thankful that I didn't have to get out.I started reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns"-by Khaled Hosseini.This is my second book of the author.I read The Kite Runner written by him.It was a magnificent book,couldn't keep it down for a second.I hope even this book has the same impact.

Today the weighing machine gave me the good news that i have lost 4 kg of weight and hell i was so happy.1 month of gymming and 4 kg was more than what i could wish for but the happiness lasted for a short while because when I reached home my mom commented that i cannot find any change in you after all the exercise you do.I buzzed her off telling its just been a month.Well i decided i'll up my exercise levels so I you-tubed on various exercises.When I got fed up with that i came through these beautiful mehendi designs .

Designing your hands and legs with mehendi is a traditional custom for every Indian bride-to-be before the D-day.Nowadays it has become so trendy that you can get mehendi designs inspired from through out the world.I wore them during my sister's marriage.Its a tedious process and by the end results will be worth every dime.

Today the day went by as usual but for a change today it rained heavily in the morning.Rain brings a twist to the day.Compared to last year I guess this year monsoon is cheating on us.In a monsoon dependent country like India it can cause a lot of problem.According to today's news if rains don't come in about a week or two they are going to start water-cut which is similar to load-shedding.Life without water is a misery.

Personally I have experienced days without water.I have taken bath in a single bucket of water and that too impure.So I often take care not to waste water.When you think of India and its massive water bodies it might  be hard to believe that vast portion of the population still lives in expectation of the one tanker of water that visits there locality daily.

In olden days we were made to believe that Indira-The rain God should be pleased to bless earth with heavy downpours.In today's world where nothing is stable and with increasing levels of pollution I really wish I could find a way to please Lord Indira so that he blesses us with a heavy downpour this season.

Since my exams are over I am sitting at home jobless.My day starts with the tuck..tuck..dhum..dhum...sounds of the carpenters who are busy completing the interior design work of my house and limiting my work area to a single bedroom.The only diversions of the day being taking my doggy out for walks and my gym workouts.Today I listened to some songs voted the most sexiest by a poll as given in Times of India.The No.1 was Physical by Olivia Newton-John.The song I could say was very funny and the video too.Guess that was sexy in 1982.The TV is fully employed by mom and I'm fed up of her daily soaps which is never ending.The same soaps re-telecasted 3 times a day.The excuse being she didn't see a particular part or didn't understand what was going on.Well thank God I have better things to do...

Fresh Start...
